A question about spam on my site which is made through WordPress?
I have been looking through my blog stats via WordPress and have found that most of the spam i get is directed at this page http://www.picturesandwords.co.uk/index.php/2008/07/gay-day-in-telaviv/
Can someone give me reasons why some pages get more spam than others, my guess is that there is a link to this page on a forum, knowing this how what should i change behind the scenes to throw that link off, if that is the case! Specifically the spam is always on this page http://www.picturesandwords.co.uk/?p=569 which is the same page but using a different address, i don’t really understand that, so maybe someone could explain that for me also!

A couple of suggestions.
Firstly make sure Akismet is activated and functioning – this will deal with a lot of low level spammers.
Secondly install a good comments captcha plugin – I have found Beauty Orange to be good without being too annoying to commentators. A search for "captcha" in the WordPress plugin repository will offer you plenty of other options.
This combination will halt most spammers and spam bots in their tracks.
Thirdly, set you comments to require moderation before appearing on your site, It means a little extra work but that way no comments appear without your say so. You can set this up under the Settings – Discussion tab in your WP admin area.
If trackbacks and pingbacks are the problem you can do as the previous respondent suggested or, install a plugin called Simple Trackback Validation which will kill most dubious pingbacks before they ever reach your page. Links to both plugins I’ve mentioned can be found in the resource box below.
On a different issue altogether your site is generating an error which seems to be caused by the Wassup plugin and you’ll see the errors below the footer of your page when you scroll right down to the bottom.

How to create a links page? WP?
I’ve seen some websites that hide URL destinations via a links page. e.g. I look at the source code of a websites hyperlink and it directs to a private page e.g. href="http://www.blahblah/links/ebay instead of href="http://www.ebay.co.uk…
How do you do this? html or perhaps you could recommend a wordpress plugin?

That’s called a link cloaker. I’ve seen wp plugins for them. Just keep in mind – you could lose sales if you use them, because a potential customer might feel duped.
How can I add creative FREE buttons for my free wordpress.com website?
