I am creating a website and one of the pages will be titled ‘BLOG’. I want to know how to code/which code to use to do this. I know how to format the blog. My problem is towards the bottom of the blog when the viewer has to choose ‘older posts/newer posts’ or ‘page 1, page 2, etc’. One code that I have is:

I want to know do I have to change the page numbers in the link everytime I update the blog? What if I have thousands of blog entries/pages, that would be extensive programming. I am not looking for a free Blog service such as Blogger or WordPress nor do I want to embed a blog. I want the blog to be on the site itself. The client will be using Joomla for content management if this helps. Sites that have a blog format are:

Theybf.com
Necolebitchie.com

Yes, unless you have software to handle these blogging functions you will need to update the links manually. You are right about this becoming over cumbersome as the site grows and is a very bad idea.

If you are using Joomla for the site anyways… get a blog extension for Joomla that handles these blogging functions automatically.

To get massive traffic to your blog, you need to do this consistently.
1. Visit other people blogs and leave some comments.
2. Join Social Communities such as MyBlogLog and BlogCatalog
3. Optimise your blog for search engine.
4. Submit article to Article Directories like Ezine Articles.
5. Do social bookmarking after each blog post
6. Using Twitter to annouce your new blog post
7. List Building
